2-1-1 is available for everyday challenges and during times of crisis and disaster.
We work with local partners and government to provide up to date information and connect those in need with available services.
During a disaster or emergency, you can call 2-1-1 to find information and resources available in your community. Your local 2-1-1 may also provide information on disaster-related volunteer opportunities and relief efforts so you can put your time and talent to work in the areas where they’re needed most and improve the lives of others in your community.
2-1-1 specialists can also provide you with information and resources to help you and your family be prepared for a disaster, donate or volunteer to those in need, and help during times of personal crisis.
If you or a loved one has been impacted by Hurricane Harvey, please call 2-1-1 to locate a shelter or find additional information in your communtiy. Please know that while wait times for 2-1-1 may be long, your call will be answered by a specialist as soon as possible. You can also find information about open disaster shelters on the National Shelter System website.
